Posting about the weekend to follow later. Or tomorrow. At the moment, this is just a quick FYI:

Of late, I have found my f-list too cumbersome to follow regularly. This results in many things being skipped or missed. Not good. To make following more manageable, I have now performed my annual[*] ritual -- The Culling Of The F-list. As always, I have based this on (a) how frequently others post (i.e., how much of an investment of my time it takes to read their journal), and (b) how frequently they reply to my entries or comments (i.e., how much time they have chosen to invest in me).

Please be assured that I am not making a statement about anyone by removing them from my f-list. I strongly dislike the terms "friend list" and "defriending" and whatnot -- it sounds so personal! This is just simple mathematics; there is not enough time in the day to read everything... so I have to choose to interact most with those who are interacting with me.

Thank you very much. We now return you to your regularly scheduled Sunday Evening...

[*] I use the term "annual" loosely; the previous culling was about fourteen months ago.

Hm. I wonder if i should start engaging in this practice, or at list bother to do it once.

I may post totally erratically, but I read regularly! There are lots of advantages to being a speed reader. *g*

And I do mean to post more often, but you know how that goes!

I'm still here, even though I haven't felt like posting anything in a while to LiveJournal. (I'm more into Twitter at the moment -- if you have a Twitter account, feel free to send me a follow request.)

Hope your list is easier to manage now! I tend to just move people off my default filter, so that they can still read my protected entries without me having to have them on my friends page if they post a lot that I have to skip :-) I know that some people (like me) don't tend to comment a lot so I feel mean removing them unless there is a good reason!

Do you think you could return me to Friday evening instead, pretty please? *flutters eyelashes* I'd quite like my weekend over again :-)

xxx

No worries, luv. I do the same thing with my own um, prodigious flist. Sadly, you and I don't interact as often as I would wish (oh, to live in Oxford. I would totally give up my treehouse with wifi). But I do hope you'll pop in every so often and say hello. Especially since J and I are still hoping to see you guys this summer sometime...;-)

I understand entirely- I really must have a spring clean of my flist at some point soon.
