A Question

In other news, I am very seriously thinking of closing this journal down and starting a new one on DreamWidth. Not cross-posting, just a straight-up transfer.

I'd never made the leap before because I didn't really see the point and I have a permanent account here on LJ.

However, the new user agreement that follows quickly on the heels of the servers going to Russia is likely to finally induce me to make the switch. I know I'm not alone here.

So here is the question:

If I expatriate to DreamWidth exclusively, is there anyone here who is still reading that is not already on the DW platform?

I am not on DW but would be inclined to move if peeps left LJ.

You already have a Dreamwidth account, under the same name - it says it was last updated 400+ weeks ago. You can export everything in your LiveJournal account to your Dreamwidth account, but since everybody and her cat are doing that now, it could be very time-consuming. I'm probably going to export all of mine, once the crush has subsided, but I'm probably going to continue to be "bi-journal", as I have been since the first or second "OMG! Russians!" LJ kerfuffle - that is, I originate all my posts on DW and auto-crosspost them to LJ, and then just do my best to keep up with the replies in each one (which don't crosspost). I will, of course, leave LJ if/when it ever becomes necessary.

I am not on DW, don't know how to change to it and , effectively know nothing about it - except that everyone seems to be going there.
Are the new terms on here going to make any real difference to users like myself?
I suppose if everyone moves away from here (and most already have) I will just have to close this account down altogether as there will be no point.
I doubt that I will open a new one anywhere as I already have 2 email accounts and a multiplicity of Hangouts on G+. If you all go away I shall probably just revert to sending e-mails
