Hellooooooooooooo again, Chicago![*]
Given the smashing success of the Event Horizon Summer party, back in July[**], there have been a number of requests for us to follow it up with a sequel when I return to the Windy City in October! Always one for a great party -- and never one inclined to disappoint a such spectacular friends -- the award-winning team of

cheshcat is delighted to announce that, by popular demand, there will indeed be an Event Horizon Autumn party this year!
"Oh frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!", I can hear y'all shouting with excitement right now!
That's right, my dear friends! One month fromtoday yesterday, on Saturday October 15th, we shall converge upon the Event Horizon once more, for a day of games and good food, laughter and excellent company! Given the proximity to Halloween, there shall be an optional costume theme adding to all the usual awesomeness that one has come to expect from an Event Horizon shindig!
And, of course, after dark there will be more than just scary creepy-crawlies! There will be a bonfire, with marshmallows, ghost stories... and fire-walking! Huzzah!
(Pssssst! There will also be prizes for the best costumes and the best ghost stories! Though I have absolutely no idea yet what said prizes will be...)
As usual, if you are on my LJ f-list, you can hereby consider yourself Officially InvitedTM. For that matter, feel free to bring along anyone that you feel would enjoy and be a good match for the group! As the old saw goes: The more, the merrier! No need to ask -- if I trust you with an invite, then I also trust your judgment on who would be appropriate to bring along for the fun! This policy has been in place for many years and has never failed us yet! So grab a good friend and bring 'em along!
The party starts at 2pm and runs until late. Unless you need crash space, which is available, an RSVP is not strictly necessary -- still, they are appreciated so that we have some idea of how much food to buy. You wouldn't want us to run out of food, would you? I thought not!
Hope that y'all are having an most awesometacular September back home in Chicagoland! I am very much looking forward to seeing you again soon, dear friends!
[*] Actually, the always-amazing Lansing crowd is also welcome, if anyone is willing to brave the four hour drive out to Chicagoland! It would be most splendid to see some of you fine folks there as well!
[**] This year saw thirty awesometacular attendees, some intense Four Square, excellent food, fantabulous conversation, and an amazing time around the firepit. Plus it went on into the night for about two hours longer than the Summer parties usually do!
