Just back from Bury Knowle Park, a short walk from the Flat With No Name. There, in the cool Summer evening air, I made use of a nifty magick trick that my beloved [livejournal.com profile] cheshcat taught me waaaaaaaay back in the Spring of 1996. Can't remember the last time I've needed it -- possibly not since 1996! Still, it came in rather useful tonight! Worked wonders just when I needed it!

Very handy having one's primary partner also be a gifted and accomplished High Priestess! Yes, indeedy, it is!

Awww, shucks, stop it. *blush*

I'm glad that little grounding trick is still useful. That's what trees are for. :)

Hey, credit where due and all that! *soft smile*

I'm not sure when I last needed to use that trick -- it has been many years -- but it does indeed still work. And, boy howdy, did I need it on Thursday evening!

*fierce hugs*

When I need to ground and center, I never remember to do so on my own - someone always has to remind me. Then I go, "Duh!", and do it...

*hugs*

Last Thursday night, I definitely needed to ground the rage that I was feeling. No one reminded me... but I did not consciously remember to do so, either. I just decided to step outside for a minute. Once outside, I decided to walk to the park. Once in the park, I decided to walk barefoot. Once barefoot, I decided to walk to a great big tree. At the tree, I realised what I needed to do.

I guess my subconscious is cleverer than I am! *hugs*

My subconscious is frequently smarter than I am - that's what Tarot cards are for ;-D

P.S. - off-topic, but you might find this (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science_and_environment/10385675.stm) amusing...

Those sounds are utterly captivating, aren't they? Maybe you should send them to Nelly "Sonic BOUUUUUUM!""

And I wonder what a cetacean would make of them...

Speaking of which! Did you and Nelly ever manage to get together while she was in New York? I forgot to ask last time I was in touch with her...

I still think that bringing the Super K Sonic BOOOOUM to NYC would be a thing most awesometacular!

I emailed her, but she never answered :-(

But that doesn't mean she can't still arrange to present Sonic BOOOOOOUM! in New York, just not right now.

*smile* Yes, Nelly can be a bit flaky that way. More than one, she has e-mailed invites to a bar-b-que or an event or a dinner on the same afternoon. The gesture is nice, and I do enjoy seeing her when I can, but same day invites don't work for my busy schedule.

Good luck with bringing the Sonic BOOOOUM! to NYC, my dear Ace! It really is an amazing thing! I am rather pleased to have been a part of it!
