Hmmmm... It seems fitting that my last post in the "100 Days of LJ" experiment is the first post that I write as an expatriate.

[livejournal.com profile] cheshcat and I arrived safely in London about twelve hours ago. We were met at Heathrow by [livejournal.com profile] nw1. We then proceeded to spend the day with him. First, he gave us the scenic route tour from the airport back to his house. We drove by many cool arches, parks, the British Library, etc. Along the way, we also stopped in Regent's Park for a bit. After we got back to his house and received the grand tour of his new home, I caught an hour-long nap ([livejournal.com profile] cheshcat was too wired to sleep!) before we headed out for the evening.

This evening, we went out and picked up some of [livejournal.com profile] nw1's friends, then headed to a pub where [livejournal.com profile] nw1 had a gig tonight, which doubled as an audition in a talent-scouting competition. He friends are cool and the music was good, so we all had a fun time.

Now we are back at the house and exhausted, or at least [livejournal.com profile] cheshcat and I are, from the traveling. [livejournal.com profile] nw1 is fixing dinner as I write this, and then we are off to bed. Tomorrow, [livejournal.com profile] cheshcat and I will head out to Oxford and begin searching for a place to live.

After we leave London, I do not know when we will have internet access once more. So it may be some time before I am able to post again...

Thank you very much, Fellow Worker! I already have made contact via e-mail with some Wobs in the UK, and there is one here in Oxford (well, two... now that I am here).

I'm really looking forward to seeing what Mayday is like here and it is recognized as a national holiday!
