Goodness, it is late! Just got back to room 101 after spending all evening -- about eight hours -- with
angryjim. Last time we saw each other was at my thesis defense on August 8 2003, exactly two and a half years to the day. Good gods how I've missed him... and I don't think I realized how much until tonight. We didn't do anything special, just hung out in his apartment and talked for hours. First we caught up on each other's lives; then we tangented off onto the types of thoughtful conversations that we have had ever since our days back at Hampshire College, ten years ago. I missed the Auger poker night for this, but it was so very worth it.
Now to pack, then off to bed. I have to wake up in four and a half hours to catch a flight in Denver. Looks like tomorrow is going to be another sleepy day...

Stony Brook, huh? I hear that's a good school... ;)
(In case you didn't know, I got my Masters and Doctorate from SB) *wink*
Good luck to him! I guess by now, all applications are in and all you have to do is wait...
As for Rent, it is in my top three favourite musicals, after Les Miserables and Into the Woods.

Rent is also one of my favs. Parade and Side Show are a couple of others. I also love Les Miserables and Into the Woods. I asst. directed a high school production of Les Mis two years ago in central jersey. My kids were incredible, but...I have to say that I am still not quite ready to listen to my soundtrack yet. :-) There is also Avenue Q, Wicked, and a WHOLE bunch more. I am a BIG musical theatre geek.
