Back in Merry Olde England now. I am writing this entry on the coach as I ride from Heathrow back to Oxford. Should be back home at Chiron Beta Prime soon, and reunited with my beloved ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)

Although my trip to Chicago was short, it went very well. I got in some lovely social time with my dear friends there. I also accomplished the work that I had come there to do, culminating in yesteday's Particle Astrophysics Seminar[*]. I think that my work and my talk were well received; we shall see. I was also lucky enough to be in town at the right time to seegyades present the the latest Higgs search results for the D0 collaboration. That was a very big deal, and I am rather proud of him for being chosen to deliver such a prestigious talk!
Thursday seems to be my day for flying in March. Last Thursday, I flew to Chicago. This Thursday (i.e., today), I flew back to England. Next Thursday, I fly to Berlin, for a vacation withfaerierhona. Although I will then break the pattern by flying home from Berlin on a Tuesday. Hurm. Maybe I should extend my holiday for two days. Just to keep the Thursday pattern intact, of course.
[*] With that talk done, I don't need to have another presentation ready until... let me see... oh, yes, Saturday.
