Can I just ask: Thirsk & Malton? What's the deal, people? C'mon, slowpokes -- get with the programme!
In other news, I finished my last Super-Kamiokande shift about an hour ago; thus wraps up a week of shift. I've not had much time to blog about it -- largely due to the time-sink of commenting about Swindon, et cetera -- but it has been a good week, in a variety of ways. It has also been rather strange working in the Kenkyutou[*] again, after so many years away. For instance, right now I am sitting at the desk in the US office that was my main work area from December 1998 until sometime in 2002; this can be a concentrated blast of déjà vu -- all the more so because I really have been here before!
I head to Tokai on Monday, but my plans for the weekend are somewhat flexible. If the weather stays as nice as it has been for most of the week, then tomorrow I shall drive to Kanazawa and visit the Kenrokuen Garden there. It is one of the most beautiful Japanese gardens in the nation and I've not been there for years...
