Hear ye, hear ye!!!

The rumours are true -- the Nomad is a'comin back to Chicago next month![*] The tickets are purchased and I will be landing at O'Hare on Thursday July 12th at 10:30am. Mark your calendars, because you know what that means -- yup, there's gonna be a party!

That's right -- the summer party at the Event Horizon will be happening on Saturday July 14th! Expect games -- both inside and out, including the return of the ever-popular Mega-Death Four Square(tm)! There will be cool people, good conversation, a bar-b-que, and... after dark... a big ole bonfire! For my triumphant return to the Event Horizon after more than half a year away, nothing but the best is in order for this celebration!

If you are on my friends list, consider yourself invited! In a break from earlier tradition, the party will begin at 11am... but it will still last until late. An RSVP is always appreciated, but never required. And, as always, crash space is available.[**]

[*] And Starwood... and Stanford... but that is beyond the scope of this entry.

[**] If you think that you will need crash space, an RSVP would be appreciated so that we can prepare accordingly.

Nifty! I'll let you know if we can make it.

Are you interested in going out to Gary with [livejournal.com profile] posicat and I during your stay?

Ye gads -- that was a fast reply! ;-)

It would be great if you and yours could make it. I think you know that you're always welcome at the Event Horizon, and it would be awesome to see you again.

As for the trip to Gary, I am tentatively interested. It would depend on when it is happening and what else is going on during my trip. But, logistics aside... yes, I would definitely like to come!

See you soon!

I'd saw that that's why they call me Quick-draw McGraw except, well, they don't.

I think (though I'd have to check with him of course) that Posi and I are willing to schedule around you if we can. Any particular date good for you? We'd proably leave early in the morning- my preference would be around seven- and get back in the afternoon sometime.

Hmmm... I'd say that Sunday the 15th would be a good day, except that we probably won't want to wake up early after the party.

The following Sunday (July 22) is also probably good, as is the 21st. I presume that we only have weekends to work with, yes? I'm on vacation but I don't want to presume that anyone else is. However, if any weekdays would work, let me know because they could possibly be fine by me...

boo! we have a previous thing that day that i've already rsvp'ed to.

bugger.

That is a boo, indeed! And here I thought that posting one month in advance would give plenty of time before people went and booked up that Saturday.

Ah, well. Is the other thing either (a) something that you can wriggle out of, or (b) something that would not take the entire day? Party will go from 11am until late so you're more than welcome to drop by for only part of it...

it's a wedding 3.5 hours and a time change away in indiana. hmm... it's at 3:30 our time... depends on how late your thing goes and how tired we are. i wouldn't be at all upset to leave early and not stay the night in my parent's guest room (and the lumpy full sized bed i had from middle school until i moved out).

and well, let's face it - i'm not overly pumped about seeing a lot of people at the wedding.

so yeah, i dunno. we'll see how it goes.

Not to ape Motel 6 or anything but...

...we'll leave a fire on for you! ;-)

I'll keep fingers crossed that you can make it. Haven't seen either you or [livejournal.com profile] kritterfox in far too long!

hi there, welcome back

Depends on how late your party runs. Brice and I are part of Guilde of St. Michael's (military guild) at Bristol Renaissance Faire. We could get you cheap tickets, if you like. Also, I forgot EXACTLY where Event Horizon is, though I know I've been there maybe once or twice.

Send me an e-mail at sciffycirco at hotmail dot com
