Happy Anniversary, you two lovebirds, and may you celebrate many, many more! As for your 25th... going someplace really swanky for dinner is pretty traditional (and, yes, there are such things as posh vegetarian restaurants!).
And when you're fixing up your house, it's an awful lot of work, but it does feel good once you can see how it's going to look when it's finished. And when it is finished, you have that deep sense of accomplishment. That warrants another celebration! :-)
