It's easier than one might think to micro-blog in 140 characters. I just make another tweet if what I have to say takes more than that. I like it since I can tweet while away from my computer, via my cell phone. (That's also why my account is protected, so the whole world doesn't know I'm away from home, including any potential burglars.)
I do use chat programs, you know, if you feel like having a conversation when online. And Skype, if you want to use voice rather than typing to communicate with me.
