Unfortunately so. Ostensibly for fear of Mad Cow disease. Which people over here think is a load of rubbish. If I do move back to the "good ole" US of A, they may never take my blood again.
To be fair, though, they won't take your blood here if you've been in the USA during the summertime too soon before you donate. Here they are worried about West Nile virus...
