Day 91: Joining The Club

More RNC related news: Those of us in my arrest group who have filed suit against New York City have been offered a settlement. I am not terribly surprised, as I know other arrest groups have recently been offered settlements as well. In our case, the amount is $5001 plus an additional $2000 to help offset attorney fees (which will be about 1/3 of the total settlement amount). I think that the additional $2000 is not usual to these settlements.

I have until next Friday (March 24) to either accept or reject this settlement offer. No final decision until I talk to my lawyer, but I am strongly inclined to reject the offer. I'd talk about the reasons why more but, as long as this case is open, I feel it is wisest to only make publicly state facts that are already public knowledge.
