Day 28: Home, Home Again...

...I like to be here, when I can.

cheshcat and I returned from P**T*** last night. We were among the last people to leave the gathering on Monday, heading out at 1:10pm EDT. Thirteen hours, twenty two minutes, and 887 miles later, we pulled into the Event Horizon at 1:32am CDT. Definitely tired from the drive, as well as from the weekend itself, but safe and sound.

I want to write more on the gathering itself today is marked by the typical hecticness that usually happens when I return home after being away for some time. Perhaps that will be fodder for a different journal entry later in the week.

Meanwhile, I will point out that it was good to get a full night of sleep in my own bed once again. Doubly good, for that matter, to wake up in that bed and find kitties cuddling with us. Foxy was in her usual spot on cheshcat's head, Totoro was curled up at the foot of the bed, and The Boy has taken to using my feet as his pillow. Very, very cute! I missed my little ones and, from their urgent requests for attention, it is clear that they missed us, too...
