Day 11: End-of-Summer Party at the Event Horizon!

The last Event Horizon party of the summer is coming up and, if you are on my friends list, you are invited! The party will be on Saturday Sep 24th, the weekend closest to the equinox. It will start at 1pm and last until late. As usual, folks may arrive earlier than 1pm but, if you do so, be aware that you may be conscripted into helping with the party set-up.

Assuming that the weather is good, there will be outdoor games (e.g. badminton, four square, frisbee) and a bar-b-que in the backyard, as well as a fire in the firepit after dark. And, as with all the Event Horizon parties, there will be card and board games all day long inside.

An RSVP is appreciated, but not required. Just showing up on Saturday is okay, too. As always, crash space is available. If you think that you will need crash space, an RSVP would be especially appreciated so that we can prepare accordingly.

Also, there is the possibility of attaching a Firefly party to the End-of-Summer party. If this happens, we would begin watching Firefly on the evening of Friday Sat 23, continue on the morning of Sat Sep 24 (before the End-of-Summer party begins), and finish the series on Sun Sep 25. Obviously you can come to the End-of-Summer party without staying for the Firefly episodes, but if you are interested in seeing Firefly with us, let me know!
