*rant mode on*
I am so sick and tired of seeing the corporate press describe us as "self-described anarchists." An article in today's New York Times (that so-called bastion of liberal media) has the following caption:
New York police consider self-described anarchists the unknown factor in whether the Republican convention demonstrations remain under control.
I wish they'd finally cut that "self-described" (sometimes seen as "self-proclaimed") bull$h!+ out! I swear, I want to walk around talking about "self-described Democrats" and "self-described Republicans" and "self-described capitalists." Get over it -- we're Anarchists! Grrrrr....
The rest of the article mostly sucked, too, as you can see here for the next seven days. Some factual inaccuracies (like calling the Miami FTAA meeting a WTO gathering) and an interview with Butcher Timoney put the icing on this cake.
Ooooh, I am so spoiling for the RNC now.
