Day 91: Whan That Aprill With His Shoures Soote

It's April now. As if on cue, the torrential rains have begun. Go figure! I guess that the Weather Gods have been paying attention...

Apparently the Weather Gods are a little confused about my corner of the world. Partly cloudy and a chance of rain, here. But we don't usually get April Showers in Vegas. :)

Meanwhile, in the New York metropolitan area, it's stopped raining, and it's sunny and warm, and will be for several more days. Go figure.

I don't like it at all and I'm British!

I don't like the cold it makes me _really_ grumpy.

and all this rain just in time for the school Easter holidays too ... not impressed!

According to the man from the Met Office on Radio 2, it's statistically more likely to get snow at Easter than Christmas, which is a weird thought. (I googled to check this wasn't an April Fool.) Apparently, the sea is colder but the land is warming up which causes more turbulence in the air, leading to more rain and snow.

"April brings the sweet spring showers...
On and on for hours and hours!"

We actually had 70F here. In Minneapolis. In March (and now April, too).

This was the first March on record with no snow for the area. But global warming is a myth, made up by scientists because ... ummm ... lemme get back to you on that part...
