Day 83: PSA - Spring Cleaning
Posting about the weekend to follow later. Or tomorrow. At the moment, this is just a quick FYI:
Of late, I have found my f-list too cumbersome to follow regularly. This results in many things being skipped or missed. Not good. To make following more manageable, I have now performed my annual[*] ritual -- The Culling Of The F-list. As always, I have based this on (a) how frequently others post (i.e., how much of an investment of my time it takes to read their journal), and (b) how frequently they reply to my entries or comments (i.e., how much time they have chosen to invest in me).
Please be assured that I am not making a statement about anyone by removing them from my f-list. I strongly dislike the terms "friend list" and "defriending" and whatnot -- it sounds so personal! This is just simple mathematics; there is not enough time in the day to read everything... so I have to choose to interact most with those who are interacting with me.
Thank you very much. We now return you to your regularly scheduled Sunday Evening...
[*] I use the term "annual" loosely; the previous culling was about fourteen months ago.

The main reason that I keep a LiveJournal is to facilitate staying in touch with friends who are spread far and wide, geographically speaking. I'm sure you have some idea what I'm talking about here, yes? ;-D More than the actual journaling, the interactions are what is important. Which is why, when I realize I've not been interacting as often as I would like, the f-list needs to shrink a bit. To free up time for that vital interaction, particularly with lovely people who are far away!
Seeing as you most definitely fit the bill of "lovely people who are far away", hon, you may expect to see a bit more of me popping on over to your page now! *grins*
Also, we would love to have you living in Oxford... or even popping over for Oxford BiFest! Since I've yet to work the last kinks out of the teleporter, I guess it will have to wait until Summer. At this point, I'm pretty certain to be heading to Brushwood's SummerFest at the end of July -- any chance you (and maybe J) could join in? If not, let me know and I will try to squeeze a side trip down to State College into the travel plans!
*hugs and squishes you*

Not sure what our summer will hold; J won't know his schedule 'til nearer the time. It may end up that I go to Brushwood without him, though I'd really hate to.
Do keep us all posted on your plans; you guys are more than welcome here anytime (and we actually now have a queen-sized futon for visitors!)
