Party Minus One Month... and Counting!

Hear ye, hear ye!!!

The rumours are true -- the Nomad is a'comin back to Chicago next month![*] The tickets are purchased and I will be landing at O'Hare on Thursday July 12^th at 10:30am. Mark your calendars, because you know what that means -- yup, there's gonna be a party!

That's right -- the summer party at the Event Horizon will be happening on Saturday July 14^th! Expect games -- both inside and out, including the return of the ever-popular Mega-Death Four Square^(tm)! There will be cool people, good conversation, a bar-b-que, and... after dark... a big ole bonfire! For my triumphant return to the Event Horizon after more than half a year away, nothing but the best is in order for this celebration!

If you are on my friends list, consider yourself invited! In a break from earlier tradition, the party will begin at 11am... but it will still last until late. An RSVP is always appreciated, but never required. And, as always, crash space is available.[**]

...And While I'm At It

Like the previous post, this entry is for my Chicago area friends. Once upon a time, I thought I would be at the Event Horizon after Starwood, in the first week of August... making it easy to attend the Poly Karaoke on August 2^nd. But, as Robbie Burns likes to say, the best laid schemes o' mice an' men gang aft agely. Know what I mean?

Since I'll be in Stanford in early August, my time at the Event Horizon has been shifted to before Starwood. So no first Thursday of the month for me. Not being one to let a little thing like timing stop me, I am planning to announce an unofficial Poly Karaoke on either the second or third Thursday of July. That's either July 12^th or 19^th. Both dates are equally good for me, so I was wondering if anyone who would be interested in coming along has a preference. If so, drop a comment and let me know which of the two Thursdays is better for you. Using the replies, I'll settle on the best date and announce it on the Poly Chicago list in a few days.

Looking forward to hitting ye olde Sidekicks again... and hope to see some of you there!
